Bio
Andy Taylor grew up with the robust music programs around Westchester County, NY. After an exciting few years at the University of Rochester and Eastman School of Music, he earned a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from SUNY Binghamton. He took a 30-year detour to pursue a hi-tech career winding up at Intel. Andy studied primarily with Perry Martin, Professor Mark Lusk (Penn State), and Joe Stanko (NY free-lance, M.Mus. Julliard). Andy co-founded Rose City Trombones in 2011. He attended the 2017 Pokorny Seminar as a performer and the 2015 Alessi Seminar as an auditor. He performs with Rose City Trombones, Salem Symphony, Oregon Symphonic Band, Big New Band, and free-lances. Andy has served as a director of the board for the Oregon Symphonic Band and Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestras. He enjoys rearranging music for trombone choir. In his corporate career, he was an invited speaker to fortune 100 companies and tech industry conferences regarding innovation practices and senior technologist career development. www.tromboneAndy.com
