Susanna Mendlow has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Central Asia. A versatile musician, she enjoys playing a variety of styles, including classical, ethnic folk, pop, and improvisation. As a member of Moyindau, a semi-improvisational experimental jazz ensemble, she traveled to Kazakhstan and the remotest parts of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to establish cross-cultural connections via music. She currently plays in Quintango, Kassia Music and world music duo DS al Cello.
Susanna received degrees from SUNY Stony Brook (DMA), Michigan State University (MM), and Columbia University (BA in music and psychology). She studied cello with Suren Bagratuni, Misha Quint, and Colin Carr. Susanna is on faculty at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, MD.
