Send Lewis a messageLewis Patzner is an Oakland-born cellist and composer, who plays a variety of styles including classical, jazz, folk, and pop/rock, and makes his living both as a freelance work for hire cellist, and as an independent artist, organizing and performing at his own concerts. His current roster of group includes the Town Quartet, Cosa Nostra Strings, Musical Art Quintet, Ariel Wang, and the Proteus Trio. Past groups include Judgement Day (founding member), Whiskerman (founding member), and La Dee Da. Lewis has also toured and played with Mates of State, Pinback, Margot and the Nuclear So-and-so's, Tim Kasher, and Dredg. Lewis has recorded with many artists, including Demi Lovato, Pete Yorn, Slash, and Margaret Cho, for her Grammy award nominated album, "American Myth." He is also the featured cellist on the soundtrack of the Oscar-nominated 2018 film, “Can You Ever Forgive Me.” Lewis composes for most of his groups, and was the Composer in Residence for the Santa Rosa Youth Orchestra.
